Last week we embarked on a fantastic voyage to the Evergreen State - Washington. (Truth be told, it was right on the border of Oregon and Washington. Right across the Columbia River.) Our destination was the home of Jaime, Aaron and Baby Zeekie.
We stopped in Medford for the night and stayed with Aaron's parents, Joe & Connie. They spoiled us big time: homemade dinner and breakfast, playing with Baker, holding Caleb, and a trip to their country home to feed ducks and fish.

We stopped at Multnomah Falls in Oregon, too. Green and gorgeous!

Of course, there were a few tantrums. Josh would promptly put Baker in "time out" so she could settle down. "Baker, you are in time out now until you settle down." Amazingly, it worked!
Caleb couldn't go to time out, though. We didn't learn till the end of the trip that he just wanted someone to sit next to him. Such a people person.
And we arrived!! Here's the happy group of Aaron, Zeke, Baker, Jaime and Caleb.
It was so nice to just relax and enjoy time with family. We cooked together, went out one night, went on a walk by the river. Josh and I got to leave Baker napping a few times and go into Hood River to shop. We had photo shoots of the cousins, watched Baker dress as Tinkerbell (thank you J & A!), and got to hold Zeke to our hearts content.
Say, "Choppin' Broco-lay!"

Love the picture of Baker taking a "rest" stop; reminds me of all our family trips across country!!! Audrey has to have someone sit by her on our long drives up north as well....my sister ends up being a taxi driver for 7 hours :) Looks like it was a GREAT family trip!!!
did you get a new camera? Looks like you had a great time.
WOW... I didn't realize how big this trip was until I saw the pics. You're brave to travel so far with the kids. But it looks like SO much fun. A memory you'll always have. So fun.
Loving how BIG your boy is!! Big boys rock! :)
