With the beginning of good language skills also comes the advent of funny stories of the things she says and does. Here are 2 for you:
1. For Bake's birthday she received Mickey & Minnie Mouse dolls. We let her sleep with them in her crib on her birthday night. But since then, she's asked for them everyday at naptime and bedtime. On Thursday, Josh put her down for nap and when he asked for a kiss she said, "Mickey Mouse" as she kissed him. This was an unacceptable kiss to him, so he asked for another and she did the same thing. When he asked for a 3rd (proper) kiss she burped right in his face. He was pretty disgusted ... I guess that's the response we'll get when she doesn't get to take her 2 favorite stuffed animals in the crib ;-)
2. Baker is pretty tech-savvy. She knows how to unlock an iPhone and swipe her finger across the screen to view multiple pictures. This evening, Grandpa (Pa) Sherblon let Baker play with his iPhone. He wasn't too keen on letting her play with it, but because she sat right next to him he allowed it. On his phone popped up a "low battery" indicator (20% power remaining). He thought this was the perfect excuse to take the phone from her. He took it and explained that the battery was gone and it had to shut off. After setting it on the table she continued to ask for it. Pa pretended it was turned off by pressing a button on top of the phone. Ultimately he handed it back to her. Upon turning on the screen and unlocking the phone she looked at Grandpa, laughed and said "Nooooo", as in: "Yeah, right Pa, it's still got juice!"
