Last night at dinner Josh shared his french fries with her. At first she was very content to eat plain fries. Until Josh dipped a fry in ranch and handed it to her. That's where this video picks up. You can see Baker saying "Mo" (more ) and then using her sign language (finger-tips together) to let him know she wanted another. Josh then asks her to say please, to which she responds by rubbing her chest.
I think she was sucking the ranch off the fry and then re-dipping it, again & again. At the end of the video Josh tells her to suck the ranch off her finger tips, to which she promptly obeys because, hey, who wouldn't want Mo ranch?
Looks like we have Daddy's girl on our hands. Or at least she has his taste for Ranch. Josh is a dipper. If there's a dipping sauce to be had, he'll happily trudge his fries/garlic bread/tri-tip through it.
Baker is becoming more verbal. Within the past few days she has told me several times that she wants "Mo Moo" (More Milk). She still uses her hand signs for words like Please and Thank You. And usually she waves her hand to say Hi & Bye, but recently she started saying "Hi" and "Bye", when prompted. She still uses her hand signs for the words Please and Thank You.
While we've had Petie with us, Baker has progressed with how she says his name. It started as Bus, then Buts and now it's Butty/Buddy.
Although she doesn't know the meaning yet, we taught her to say "Happy". It is sooo cute! It comes out sounding like "Aappie!" She even recognizes the word Happy in songs, like When You're Happy and You Know It ... once she hears the word she'll repeat it in her own dialect.
One thing I'm sure of, when Petie goes back home with Jim and Linda, Baker will not be Appie.
