According to Josh it "took some effort" to get her inside. This might be the best way to get her to San Diego in May: Overhead storage compartment.

Perfect she'll fit up there no problem!! ;-)
no need to bother strapping her into a car seat either....just throw her in the trunk and off you go.
It's so much cheaper that way!
