Who's that spartan in my teepee?

This afternoon was my appointment for the "Big Ultrasound". I was given specific instructions to drink 16 oz. of water an hour before the appointment and not to relieve my bladder (I think this has something to do with getting a better image of the baby because of the extra fluid?). Not fun at all. In fact, the ultrasound tech informed me during the middle of the procedure that my bladder was too full and I could go empty it. What a relief! Literally.

The tech was very adept at her job because she was booking through the appointment. She'd see something, mumble that it was the spine or the head, or the heart and then move on to the next body part. Josh told her that we don't want to know the sex, so at one point she told us to close our eyes. It's funny to think that someone out there knows if it's a boy or girl.

Baby seems to be very active and move around alot. The picture above is actually a photo of Little E (for Elson) standing on his/her head. I'm still waiting to feel the kicks; should be able to feel them soon. All in all it was a good appointment (albeit quick) especially because the tech said the baby is looking good (must take after Josh - wink wink).
