Have a nice trip?,

see you next fall! Baker had her first emergency-room-worthy tumble this weekend while we were up in Tahoe. Here's the story:
We brought Jim & Linda's plastic slide for her to play on in the cabin. And while we weren't looking she fell over the side of the slide and konked her forehead on the tile fireplace hearth. It caused a divot on her pretty little face. Josh and I cleaned it and bandaged it, and she slept overnight without problem. But the next morning it wasn't looking much better, so we headed to Truckee to get an expert opinion.
We (Josh and I) had the best hospital experience EVER! The staff was so amazingly friendly. The nurse gave Baker a little teddy bear. We were in & out in an hour. So awesome.
Baker's experience probably wasn't so fantastic. She was pinned down by 4 of us while the doctor glued the boo-boo together. It's a good thing her memory is so short ... she was back to normal within a half hour.
Later that evening we went to dinner. A burger joint. But they didn't have highchairs or booster seats. Hullo?, can you be a little less kid-friendly?
Over the weekend, Baker learned that bears growl. Every time she saw a wood-carved bear she growled and curved her hands like claws. Seriously, every-single-time.
This was her wake-up photo after her afternoon nap today. Ohmygoodness!, where is this kid's mother?!

Poor Bakes... At least she didn't fall off the changing table. That would really make you a bad mother. :)

Been there, done that! Just be thankful that she didn't require stitches. And that was a great hospital experience, when we took Nathan to Lodi ER, we waited for over an hour with a baby with a concussion! Gotta love hospitals!
