Our church (Temple Baptist Church) had a Groundbreaking Ceremony today to kickoff the construction of the new Children's Building. Unfortunately, Caleb had to stay home due to his weakened immune system. Eli, as usual, was waiting for us to pick him up in the nursery. Baker, on the other hand, was there and thrilled to pose for the camera!
A little behind the scenes trivia: they planted a tree to symbolize the vision "planting today for a harvest tomorrow", but as soon as everyone was gone, they had to pull the tree out because where they put it was a less than ideal location (it would have either been on top of a sewer line, or under a footing for the building). One of the benefits of being the civil engineer for the project is gaining fun, but useless trivia like this! :)
