Crouching tiger, puking panda

Memorial Day weekend we trekked to San Diego to visit Erin, and to see Lisa graduate with her masters degree. Baker did really well on the flights, despite skipping her nap. The one thing she did not do well was sleep in the same room as Josh & me. *Note to self: All future vacations will require a suite.* We went to Lisa's graduation BBQ, dined with Erin, sat thru part of the graduation ceremony (fortunately Lisa skipped out right after her name was read), went to the zoo, and heard a mariachi band over dinner. We even got to see Becky & Kaitlyn Harper for a little while.

Bear and Bear

I know you've been anticipating the meaning behind the title of this post "Crouching tiger, puking panda" ... and here it is: a mural on the panda exhibit wall at the San Diego Zoo. The mural was very big (approx 20 feet long) and featured panda paintings by artists, students and zoo-lovers. You'll probably notice the panda on the left looks like he's having trouble keeping his bamboo down. Let's hope he was drawn by a very young student.
