Last weekend we went to the Baby and Me swim time at Hutchins Street Square. It was Baker's first time in a swimming pool and underwater (although we didn't dip her head).
The class is focused on making babies comfortable in the water. There's songs, toys, and instructors with advice. We learned to start pouring water over Baker's head during bath-time in order to have her start learning how to hold her breath. She was pretty young for the class though -- not ready to play with toys, or be excited about singing songs. I think we'll make another appearance at the class when she's about 6 months. (And next time we'll take some pictures of Josh in the water too.)
