For all our family and friends who live far, far away, we've created this blog in hopes of keeping you updated on the latest with us. This is of particular importance now that the far away family and friends are going to become aunties and uncles (but mostly just aunties).
Here's the baby happs:
- I (Amy) am either 9 weeks* or 11 weeks* pregnant with Little Baby Elson.
- We won't be learning the sex of the baby till it arrives.
- I've experienced some nausea for the past 5 weeks, although it's reduced to evenings-only in the past 2 weeks.
- Reading pregnancy magazines has been enjoyable, although it makes me want all the little gadgets and gizmos currently marketed to me.

*Confusion with gestational period due to "new math" of obgyns.
In other news:
Our small group just started a new study on "Worldview". Sounds philosophical / over my head.

Let us be the first to say:
"It's about time!"
(created a Blog that is)
Thanks for not finding out gender, it gives us a few months before we transform our guest room into the pink or blue room.
We're happy for you!!
GOD IS GOOD
Grandpa & Grandma Elson
Don't know much about this blog stuff....but we are super EXCITED for you three (Josh, Amy, and baby)!!!
Can't wait to come up and visit in May!!!
Lots of love, Tyson and Lisa
I think you have a new area to expand Amy Elson marketing into: baby stuff. "When you can't stand to see your baby in anything less than this season's colors...""Want the stroller with the coolest industrial design?" "Our baby food doesn't stink as much when it comes back at you..." Go for it!
This is great. Congratulations on the birth of a new blog!
Speaking of something else that was recently born (or "birthed" if you like that term)... our small group is also heading down a more philosophical route by studying "A Generous Orthodoxy" by Brian D. McLaren. i had to take a class on Christian Worldview in college and it was not nearly as philosophical as i thought it would be. One of the books we read was Neibuhr's "Christ and Culture," which i would highly recommend if you haven't come across it already.
This is so exciting, I can still hardly believe it!! Can't wait till we're home this summer and I can see your cute pregnant belly!!!
Besos y abrazos to all three!!
Jenny
